Image Map
RELEASE DATE ~ May 28, 2013

Synopsis:
With his tight leather pants and a sharp edge that makes him dangerous, Jet Keller is every girl’s rock and roll fantasy. But Ayden Cross is done walking on the wild side with bad boys. She doesn’t want to give in to the heat she sees in Jet’s dark, haunted eyes. She’s afraid of getting burned from the sparks of their spontaneous combustion, even as his touch sets her on fire.
Jet can’t resist the Southern Belle with mile-long legs in cowboy boots who defies his every expectation. Yet the closer he feels to Ayden, the less he seems to know her. While he’s tempted to get under her skin and undo her in every way, he knows firsthand what happens to two people with very different ideas about relationships.
Will the blaze burn into an enduring love. . . or will it consume their dreams and turn them to ashes?

About The Author:
I'm supposed to share interesting details about myself so that my readers get to know me so here we go in no particular order: I'm an natural redhead even though I haven't seen my real hair color in years, I'm a big fan of tattoos and have a half sleeve on either arm and various other pieces all over the place, I've been in the bar industry since I was in college and it has always offered interesting insight into how men and women interact with each other, I have 3 dogs that are all crazy, I live in Colorado and love the snow, I love music and in all reality wish I could be a rock star not a writer or a bartender but I have zero talent so there is that.
I love to write, love to read and all I'm interested in is a good story with interesting characters that make the reader feel something.

Release Day ~ THE FORGOTTEN ONES by Laura Howard

The Forgotten Ones

The Danaan Trilogy

Book One

is now available exclusively on Amazon!

Allison O'Malley's plan is to go to grad school so she can get a good job and take care of her schizophrenic mother. She has carefully closed herself off from everything else, including a relationship with Ethan, who she's been in love with for as long as she can remember.

What is definitely not part of the plan is the return of her long-lost father, who claims he can bring Allison's mother back from the dark place her mind has gone. Allison doesn't trust her father, so why would she believe his stories about a long forgotten Irish people, the Tuatha de Danaan? But truths have a way of revealing themselves. Secrets will eventually surface. And Allison must learn to set aside her plan and work with her father if there is even a small chance it could restore her mother's sanity.

EXCERPT:
When I arrived at the Met, it was after nine. Hundreds of people were flocking out of the front doors. I was panting. My eyes searched the crowd in desperation for her. I hoped I wasn’t too late. Finally, after the crowd had thinned, I spotted her. She was wearing a drab gray wool coat and a striped knit hat along with a new pair of eyeglasses that were almost identical to the ones she’d left at my loft. She looked worn-out as she trudged down the steps. Fuck. Maybe something was wrong with her. I mounted the steps two at time, hoping to meet her half way.
“Allee,” I shouted out to her.
Her mouth dropped open when she saw me. She galloped down the steps, attempting to run past me, but I caught her and held her firmly in my arms. She squirmed, trying to break away, but she was no match for my strength. I studied her face. Her eyes were painfully sad and her cheeks were sallow. She had lost weight.
“Get away from me, Madewell,” she begged. There were tears in her eyes.
I didn’t let go of her and, in fact, squeezed her tighter. “Why haven’t you returned my calls?”
“Madewell, please! Let go of me.” Her voice was watery and desperate.
“No, you’re not going anywhere until you answer my question.”
“I don’t belong with you. You’re too good for me.”
“No, baby, you’re too good for me.” I pressed her even tighter against me.
Thunder roared in the night sky.
“Please! I’ve gotta go home and get ready for a massage client.”
Maybe she had just been overworking. Fuck her client. I tugged hard at her ponytail that hung out from under her funky hat. “You’re coming home with me.”
“I can’t.” She blinked back tears. “You don’t understand—”
“Stop it!” I crushed my lips against hers, hushing her, and pulled her down to a sitting position on the step where we were sparring. She couldn’t resist my assault. Her tongue hungrily met mine, and a hot bolt of energy surged through my body.
Lightening flashed, and another loud burst of thunder followed. The sky opened up, and torrential rain fell upon us. But it didn’t stop us. Soaked, our embrace deepened, the warmth of it fending off the icy chill of the pounding drops. I don’t know how long it lasted, but she was the first to pull away. Wet streaks rolled down her cheeks… tears, not the rain.
“Why me, Madewell?” she asked, her voice hoarse and strained.
“Because, Allee Adair, I’m suffocating without you. You’re the air I need to breathe.” Cradling her in my arms, I removed her rain-streaked glasses and brushed away the shimmering rivulets dripping down her face. Just the mere touch of her infused me with light.
She looked deep into my eyes, hers still watering. “Oh, Madewell, I’m so afraid.”
“Afraid of what, baby?” I held her tear-drenched face in my hands.
Her lips quivered. “That I’ll hurt you.”
That wasn’t possible, I thought as I swept her into my arms and carried her down the rain-soaked steps, my lips never leaving hers.
***
I carried her straight into my bathroom steam room. She was shivering wet. I set her down and rapidly peeled off her drenched layers of clothing. I removed mine just as fast. She let me wrap my arms around her naked body and hold her close to me as a cloud of steam warmed us. Tears were still streaming down her beautiful face, mingling with steamy mist. I sealed my mouth over hers and kissed her deeply and passionately. With my lips still covering hers, I lifted her up off the water-coated tiled floor.
“Wrap your legs around me, baby,” I breathed into her ear.
She did as I asked, twisting her long
limbs around my waist like a pretzel. I carried her to the edge of the steamy room and pressed her against the dripping wet back wall, just high enough so that my cock could shoot easily into her glorious pussy. Her arms wrapped around my shoulders.

“Baby, I’ve missed you so much.” I studied her angelic face, made dreamy in the steamy haze. My lips latched onto to hers and pressed into another deep, tongue-driven kiss. Her velvety breasts skimmed my chest. I groaned as my girth grew between my legs.
“Oh, Golden Boy,” she rasped as my mouth released hers. “Make me come.

My Cast Pick For Victor (I'm in love ahhh)

Review: 4 Stars
What a beautiful, sweet love story this was. Great debut novel by Alice Montalvo - Tribue!
I loved Ellie right away. Her last relationship did not end well and she closed herself off to the dating world. When she meets Victor for the first time she finds herself feeling things she thought she would never feel again. Victor is this sexy Latin superstar who is taken with her the moment their eyes meet. Although Ellie tries to resist her feelings for him, he does not stop trying to win her over. Oh, how I love that man. The love scenes were very steamy which only added to the awesomeness of this book.

"I will not let you go that easily. I know what I want, and it's you. If you let me do this, you're mine. Do. You. Understand?"

What I loved most about this book (other than Mr. Sexy) was that they get their happily ever after in the end and I wasn't left hanging. I adored this book and can't wait to read more from this author.

Bing has no idea why Jen left Devon so fast. All he knows is that he wants her as much as he did the first day he laid eyes on her – so spending time with her while Lexy is still in Devon isn’t exactly a hardship for him. EXCERPT:

JEN

He chuckles low, and I suppress the shiver that’s threatening to run through my body. His hand closes around mine, and he pries the hairspray from my grip. His fingers slip between mine, his palm hot. My eyes flick to our hands and how dainty mine looks encompassed in his.
His other hand rises to my face, his thumb tracing down my cheek to the dent below my ear. It ghosts along my jaw, tracing the shape of it, and finally settles on my lower lip. He tugs it from between my teeth gently, and the pad of his thumb strokes across it.
My eyes rise to his, our faces inches from each other.
“You know it’s you, don’t you?” he says softly, uncertainly.
I nod silently, unable to form any words.
“I mean it, Jen.” He cups the side of my face. “Whatever she tries to say, it’s all lies. Even if she hasn’t said it yet, I can tell you it’s a lie.” He dips his face towards me, resting his nose alongside mine. I let my eyes flutter shut, feeling the realness in the moment.
“I know,” I whisper. “But that doesn’t mean-”
“Don’t. Say. It,” he orders in a hushed voice. “I just got you, Jen. I waited for too long to have you, but I do now, and I’ll be damned if I’m gonna let her get in between us. I told you, didn’t I? I told you that if anyone doubts us, if you ever doubt us, to come to me.”
“Yes.”
“Then do it. Come to me, babe. Don’t let her get under your skin. She’s nothing to me. She never was anything. Not like you.”
I run my free hand along his arm until it rests on his hand cupping my cheek. “What am I, Sam?”
“Everything, Jen. You are everything. Don’t ever doubt that.”

EXCERPT:

“Oooh,” his eyes got big like he was just realizing something. “I get it, you’re into chicks.”

Did I have the word lesbian written across my forehead or something today?

“No,” I said adamantly.

“No, that’s cool.” His smile was too big. “I don’t discriminate, trust me. I like chicks, too. You know what? We should like them together, like at the same time,” he leaned in and ran his thumb across his bottom lip before he softly tugged on his lip ring.
My eyes shot to his mouth and he smirked at the attention. I rolled my eyes.
“I don’t like chicks, and if I did I certainly wouldn’t share with you,” I flipped my card over and picked up the book.
“Okay, so you’re not a lesbian. Then what are you?”
Aggravated by his question, I sighed loudly and answered honestly.
“You want to know what I am? I’m shattered, that’s what I am. There are tiny pieces of Patience scattered all over.”
“I’d like a piece of Patience,” he reached across the table and ran a finger across my hand.
This time I did tense up, but for entirely different reasons. My heartbeat sped up like I was on the verge of a panic attack, but instead a rush of euphoria filled me.
“I don’t know if I can give you a piece,” I heard myself flirt back.
That earned me another sexy grin. Damn him for being so freaking hot.
“Why not?
“Because I don’t know where they are.” I frowned at those words.
What started out as innocent flirting, had just that quickly become a sad truth. I was a shattered girl and I had no idea where my pieces were or how to put myself back together if I did find them.
“I bet I could find your pieces,” he leaned in and bathed my cheek with heated breath.
I didn’t miss his hidden meaning, but I chose to ignore it. “Good luck. I’ve been trying to find them for years.”
I shrugged off my shiver and started to deal the cards again.
“Challenge accepted,” he said, as he leaned back in his chair and took a swig from his beer.

Spotlight: BITTER ANGEL by Megan Hand

Torn between two realities.
A choice that will mean life or death.
But she won’t know anything… until she wakes up.

College sophomore, Lila Spencer lived Friday night twice. She doesn’t know how or why, just that she did. As if she split in half and went in two different directions.

Out clubbing with her friends, Heather and Nilah, the girls rock it out and party hard. What begins as an innocent night will lead to a deadly fight for their lives, and Lila might be their only chance for survival.

In bed with her boyfriend, Jay, Lila is safe and warm as she drifts to sleep in the arms of the man she loves. Until she is sucked into a horrifying nightmare of her friends' deaths.

As the sunlight warms her face on Saturday morning, the two scenarios collide. But there can be only one outcome. Will she wake up in her warm bed with Jay by her side, devastated and grieving for her friends? Or was she there to save them?

The answer is just the beginning.

EXCERPT:

Unfortunately, my words didn’t faze him. He just laughed and wiped his hands on a dry piece of his shirt. “Oh man. We haven’t had one as feisty as you in…” He rested his chin between his thumb and forefinger. “Well, a long time.”
My heart hammered, but I put venom in my tone. “Where are my friends? I want to see them.” I strained forward, listening for anything that would tell me they were okay and alive.
I could hear music, loud and vulgar. Voices, all male. Laughter. Bottles clinking. I could smell the crusty scent of cigarette smoke.
He pointed to the closed door. “They’re out there, being taken care of. Don’t worry. They’ll be fine. It’s you that I’m not so sure about.”
“You sick son of a bitch. My friend could be on the brink of death, and you’re just gonna do nothing? If she dies on your hands, I swear—”
“Relax,” he cut me off. “She’s still breathing. Enough. We’ll drop her somewhere when everyone’s done. She’ll be fine.”
As I had kicked the driver’s seat earlier, I just as frantically pulled on my arms. “Let me out!” I screamed, hoping beyond hope that someone, inside or out, upstairs or down, could hear me in this hellhole. I had no idea if we were in a house or apartment building, if this was the only bedroom, or if there were others. From the looks of it and guessing the age of these guys, my bet was that this was their place of business where they brought all the girls just for this purpose. I highly doubted that they lived here, but I had nothing to back up my theory.
He rounded the bed. It creaked as he sat on the clean side. He caressed my jaw, my bloody lip. I cringed, ripping away from him, and he gripped me harder. From his pocket, he retrieved a knife. The blade winked at me in the dim light. I swallowed.
He grinned. “Still wanna scream?”
